Parker Buckner charged with vandalism in May Nashville riots

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police have made another arrest in connection with the May riots in downtown Nashville.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, 20-year-old Parker Buckner is charged with vandalism in the May 30th incident.

Police say Buckner is accused of destroying the driver's door window of a Metro police cruiser that was parked on the Gay Street connector.

According to police, the incident was captured on video. Investigators say Buckner was seen standing on the hood of the car and then smashing the window with a “stick shaped object.”

The damage to the car was less than $1,000. Buckner was held on a $75,000 bond. Police have not yet released his mugshot.
