LINDEN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Perry County School officials voted to delay the beginning of school by two weeks.

Instead of students beginning on August 6, they will begin classes on August 20.

School officials made the announcement on the district's Facebook page Monday night. They said the calendar will remain the same except for the last day of school being pushed to June 8.

School districts are continuing to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic as Tennessee continues to see a high number of positive COVID-19 cases.
