Police have recovered the vehicle of a man who was found murdered inside his Nashville home.
Metro Nashville Police said 30-year-old Daniel Shields was found dead late Tuesday night inside his Delaware Avenue home.
Officers were called to the residence for a welfare check after his employer said he hadn’t seen him in several days.
Police said his 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer had been taken. The vehicle was found Thursday in the parking lot of the Knights Inn on Bell Road.
The vehicle was impounded and is being processed at the Metro Nashville Police Crime Laboratory.
Shields’ cause of death has yet to be determined. The investigation remained ongoing.
