A controversial gun range proposal brought out a packed room, with a meeting that at times resembled a shouting match.
Thursday night at the Robertson County Board of Zoning Appeals, the board took up the issue of whether to allow the owner of Camp Sycamore Creek off Huffman road to run gun safety classes several times a year outside, with homes nearby.
The owner, Gary Semanchik, said the money raised from the classes could help fund his camp, which benefits area kids.

While some supported the owner's plan for the gun classes, several neighbors spoke out in opposition.
The board voted down the approval of the gun range, 3 to 2.
