The Rutherford County Jail Administrator, Tommy Thompson, has been fired due to "recent events."
Spokesperson with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, Lisa Marchesoni, confirmed that Thompson has been let go for "recent events."
However, she did not go into any detail as to what those events may have been.
The Rutherford County Jail has been placed in the spotlight after two inmate deaths. Both happened within a week of each other.
