RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Rutherford County Sheriff's office has charged a man with setting fire to his mother's home.
34-year-old Justin Goostree faces aggravated arson charges. Deputies say Goostree reportedly suffers from depression and had been staying in the home. After utilities were turned off, he borrowed gasoline from a neighbor saying he was going to burn down the house.
The home, on Brown's Chapel Road, was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Fire crews needed four hours to bring the fire under control.
