A mid-state family is getting over a scare that they say took place in a grocery store parking lot.
Ashley Hunter said her sister and niece were walking out of the Kroger on Clarksville Pike around 9 Friday morning, when two men in a gold van drove up.
One got out, and Hunter said one started going toward her three year old niece.
After a bystander yelled at the man, he stopped, and ran back into the van, which then sped off.
Hunter says she hopes this is a lesson for other parents to keep watch over their kids.
“It just makes you want to be aware of every child around you see out,” Hunter said.
Hunter said Metro Police showed up to the scene and took a report.
