Scripps Howard Foundation Makes Donation To The Last Minute Toy Store

Posted

For so many families, the Last Minute Toy Store is the only place parents can get gifts for their children during the holidays.

The warehouse opens in December, full of free gifts for Davidson County residents.

In recent years, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office has helped host the store.

Wednesday, the Scripps Howard Foundation, part of the company that owns NewsChannel 5, presented a $1,250 check to Sheriff Daron Hall.

The donation will help stock the store with classic board games like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Clue.

If you'd like to make a donation yourself, you can find more information here.

In 2017, the Last Minute Toy Store served more than 5,000 children.
