SOUTH NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One small business in South Nashville is asking for the public's help in catching this thief.

In the nine years that Perla Salas has owned Perlita's Fashion on Cotton Lane, she says these are the only two times the store has been broken into.

During a pandemic that has made it already a struggle for her business to stay afloat, she says they can't afford being robbed a third time.

"I don’t know why people are hurting us during the covid situation," said Salas. "It’s hard. This guy made me lose money from what he has stolen and money out of my pocket from fixing all of this."

The first break-in happened back in November and the most recent was Tuesday morning.

Both robberies happened around 6 a.m. In the surveillance video, you can see the thief isn't wearing a mask. It appears to be the same man, with the same hat stuffing items like clothes and car parts into a bag.

If you know who this man is, give metro police a call. A police report has been filed.
