NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Storm 5 Alert for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky has expired after our severe weather threat diminished late Wednesday night.

A potent system moved across the southeast Wednesday, bringing us rain and the chance for strong to severe thunderstorms.

Thursday, we will stay mostly cloudy with a few more showers possible by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 60s.
