A Storm 5 Alert has been issued for Thursday afternoon as strong storms could bring hail and damaging wind in the mid-state.
The storms are expected to hit between noon and 9 p.m.

During that time, an increased threat of severe thunderstorms that could produce small hail and damaging wind are expected.
Meteorologist Henry Rothenberg said flash flooding can not be ruled out, as well, since the area has seen significant rain from Alberto in recent days.
