A Storm 5 Alert has been issued for Thursday afternoon as strong storms could bring hail and damaging wind in the mid-state.
The storms are expected to hit between noon and 9 p.m.

Meteorologist Henry Rothenberg said flash flooding can not be ruled out, as well, since the area has seen significant rain from Alberto in recent days.
