NewsChannel 5 Meteorologist Lelan Statom said a cold front will begin moving across the area Saturday afternoon. That front is expected to bring another round of rain, some of which will be heavy at times.
The prime chance for severe weather would be during the afternoon and evening hours -- with damaging winds and flooding being the primary threats.
However, an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. Lelan said the better dynamics for that will be to our west.
By Sunday, a few showers could be lingering, especially in our eastern counties.
