NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Storm 5 Alert was issued as storms began pushing through Middle Tennessee Thursday afternoon.
Scattered showers and storms developed this afternoon and brought brief, heavy downpours, damaging winds and hail. There could also be the possibility of quick, flash flooding in low-lying areas.
The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for parts of the mid-state until 10 p.m.
Another wave of scattered storms is expected Friday. Saturday will bring the most widespread showers and storms as a cold front works across the area.
The rest of the weekend brings drier conditions with highs in the middle 70s.
