KINGSTON SPRINGS, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Cheatham County sheriff's deputy shot and killed a suspect while responding to a domestic-related call on Sunday night, according to investigators.
The call came in around 11:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pheasant Court in Kingston Springs.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a deputy arrived at the home and encountered Terry David Fox on the front porch. Investigators said he was armed and refused several verbal commands to drop the handgun.
At some point, the situation escalated, and the TBI said the deputy shot Fox. He died at the scene.
The TBI said its investigation into the matter is still ongoing. They did not identify the deputy who was involved.
This was the second shooting involving Cheatam County deputies in a matter of days.
