The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says three people have been arrested on drug-related charges stemming from a series of overdoses that took place last month involving fentanyl-laced heroin in Murfreesboro.
During the investigation, the TBI says agents developed information about the source of the laced heroin and methamphetamine for a distribution organization in Middle Tennessee.
As police executed two search warrants on Monday, they arrested three people in connection to the drugs: 37-year-old Robert Ray Yates, 35-year-old Shatika Renee Floyd and 39-year-old Antonio Andre Johnson.
The TBI says it made the arrests in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Murfreesboro Police Department.
The three were charged with the manufacturing, delivery, sale or possession of drugs. Yates was also charged with resisting arrest. They were booked into the Rutherford County Jail with a $95,000 bond.
