PARIS, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials have asked for the public's help to gather more information in a homicide investigation.

A woman's body was found in a plastic bin floating in the Kentucky Lake north of the Tennessee state line, Saturday night. Investigators arrested Jeffery Rogers, of Texas. They say he used a rented boat in Paris, Tennessee to dispose of the body in the lake.

TBI officials say he traveled on I-30 from Texas to Arkansas then I-40 into Tennessee before driving into Kentucky on Wednesday, June 17. He was seen in a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck with the Texas license plate: LFJ•7985 and a camper top over the truck bed.

He was wearing shorts and a green shirt with the Star Wars character Yoda on the front. He also has a longer piece of hair in the back, commonly called a rat tail.

The TBI asked anyone who may have seen Rogers traveling that day to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
