Police were puzzled after vandals drove a truck through the grass at Battle Ground Academy.

The crime has been considered a felony by Franklin Police because the damage to the grass and sidewalk was estimated to cost well over $1,000 to fix.

It appeared there were at least two suspects in a silver pick-up truck. Police believed the incident occurred on January 4th around 10p.m.

Wiliam Cowart said he didn't mind that his taxpayer dollars were being used to investigate the felony.

He hoped police would find the suspects.

Cowart said, "There's neighborhoods popping up everywhere! And the only place to do donuts is the front lawn of BGA? Do I agree with it? Absolutely not. Would I do it? Of course not! The point is, it's guna happen."

Crime Stoppers has offered up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.

Cowart said, "When you come to downtown Franklin everything is classy and sophisticated, things like that, when deep down we kind of are rednecks. And if somebody is doing donuts in your front lawn, sorry?"
