NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — After a record turnout, glowing reviews and Nashville's largest multi-day event ever in the books -- we're now experiencing draft aftermath. That leads to the next question: what big event could Nashville host next?
Tourism officials say they're looking toward landing The Grammys.
Nashville already hosts the CMA awards, and Joe Chambers with the Musicians Hall of Fame and GRAMMY museum says Nashville will definitely be under consideration for the Grammys.
But despite the huge crowds the NFL Draft turned out, he says it may be difficult to convince Grammy management in L.A. to move the show to Nashville.
"Right now, I don't know that we have the set designers, lighting and amplification and everything they need to do a show as incredible as they do at the Staples Center," Chambers said.
But after a weekend like Nashville just had, who can blame city leaders for shooting for the stars.
