Wilson County Fair begins Friday in Lebanon

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — One of the best fairs in the country kicks off Friday in Wilson County.

Gates to The Wilson County Fair open at 5 p.m. today. The theme this year is "A Grand Celebration.”

This is the largest county fair in Tennessee.

After last year's attendance, Carnival Warehouse named The Wilson County Fair one of the top 30 fairs in the country.

The fair will highlight on the many milestone celebrations happening in the Wilson County area this year. For example, the City of Lebanon is celebrating 200 years and Wilson County itself is celebrating 220 years.

Businesses such as Cracker Barrel, Demos' and the Wilson County Farmers Co-Op are celebrating milestones, as well.

Last year more than 575, 000 people checked out the nine-day fair.
