Here’s what to know as Nashville prepares to enter Phase 3 on Oct. 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville officials have released more information as the city prepares to move to Phase Three of its reopening next week.

Mayor John Cooper provided more details on Thursday during the city’s weekly COVID-19 update, saying Nashville will reopen “as quickly as safe capacity happens.” The city will advance to Phase Three on Thursday, Oct. 1.

Under Phase Three, large event gatherings can expand to 500 people (30% maximum capacity) -- with an approved plan from the Metro Public Health Department. No gatherings of more than 25 are allowed unless approved by the health department. Click here to submit an event request.

On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Grand Ole Opry will host a live event to 500 people in-person to celebrate its 95th anniversary.

Additionally, all bars and restaurants can expand capacity to 100 patrons per-floor and an additional 100 in outside spaces, with proper social distancing in place. Parties of eight per-table will also be allowed in all Davidson County restaurants. Museums can also expand tours from 10 people to 25.

Transpotainment vehicles can resume operation with a maximum of 15 people or 50% capacity. Dance floors must remain closed for now.
