Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane, made landfall Aug. 25, 2017 in Southern Texas and the floods that came with it were catastrophic to many parts of the state, including Houston. It dropped a record 52 inches of rain and killed 60 people.

Harvey was the first of two Category 4 hurricanes to strike the United States in recent weeks. On Sunday, Florida sustained massive damage from Hurricane Irma, which struck the Florida Keys as a Category 4 hurricane before moving north through the state.
