We've been blanketed in cloud cover today with misty rain off and on. Scattered showers ramp up overnight, but are not expected to be severe. Our storm risk does potentially return by tomorrow.
A cold front sweeps tomorrow, and it'll bring very strong winds. Gusts between 35-40 mph will be possible which causes concern with weak trees across the area thanks to the recent ice storm. A few isolated storms will be possible for our Kentucky counties but overall Thursday will NOT be a widespread outbreak. A Storm 5 Alert has been issued for the power outage concern from the winds and the isolated storm risk for our Kentucky counties.
Things quiet down by Friday and this weekend as seasonal highs in the mid 50s return.
