Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across the region through the rest of the week, with the best chance of widespread rain arriving Friday and Saturday.
Most storms will develop during the afternoon and evening before ending after sunset. Severe weather is not expected, but some storms could produce heavy rain that causes minor flooding.
Temperatures will gradually warm through early next week. Highs will reach the upper 80s, low 90s with humidity making it feel even warmer. Heat index values could climb into the low 100s.
