NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Riverfront Park will soon have a backdrop of pink blooms once again.

It's been two months since cherry trees were removed in April for the NFL Draft, causing controversy.

On Thursday morning, professionals are replanting ten trees.

When Nashvillians sounded off on the subject, the Mayor’s office apologized, vowed to transplant the cherry blossoms and plant replacement after the events.

A horticulturist should be around the watch the trees get planted. Everything should be back to normal by noon.
