ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WTVF) — A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash with a taxi Friday night in Antioch.
The collision happened at the corner of Murfreesboro Pike and Ransom Place.
The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Kenneth Hendrix Jr.
Officers responded to the scene a few minutes before midnight and discovered a wrecked 2001 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2012 Dodge Caravan taxi. The motorcycle may have caught fire as well.
Police believe Hendrix died before first responders arrived.
The cab involved appeared to be from Volunteer Taxi which is located on Murfreesboro Pike.
During the crash investigation, police said a man driving at a high rate of speed drove through the crime scene and almost struck a group of officers. Aaron Jones, 27, was charged with reckless endangerment and driving without a license.
