NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A real estate company aims to make home selling and buying easier and faster in the mid-state. You might get an offer on your home within 48 hours from Opendoor with the click of a button.

If you're looking for a home, you can instantly check out the Opendoor homes by downloading the app. With it, you can tap 'unlock' outside the door and it will open up for you to take a look.

"We're trying to take the stress out of that process," Jay Cherry said.

The deals are typically finished in 10 to 60 days according to Cherry, the Nashville Opendoor general manager.

On Thursday a potential buyer stopped in one of their homes that's for sale on Edwin Street.

Susan Zoesch said, "I like the open floor plan, I feel like it's good quality workmanship. I like that there's a separate office."

After visiting the home on her own, Susan brought her Realtor back with her to take a second look.

"We found this to be very accessible, we were able to see it instantly. She pulled it up on her app and we saw it 15 minutes later so as far as ease and access points, it's great," said Pete Jones.

If real estate agents like Pete bring a buyer, Opendoor gives them 3 percent commission.

"I thought it was really easy, I do like having my Realtor present though, so they can walk me through options." said Zoesch.

Opendoor does 'late check out,' and they will rent the home back to sellers who might need a little more time to find a new home. For buyers they do a 30 day buy back guarantee in case they aren't happy.

"They don't have to wait for their home to be listed and try to find a buyer and then potentially risk a deal falling through, they have the certainty and simplicity of selling their home at a date they can count on," Cherry said.

Opendoor charges 6 to 7 percent for their services.

They launched in Nashville in May, and in Clarksville a couple weeks ago. You can learn more here.
