NEW ORLEANS, La. (WTVF) — Veteran and Clarksville native, Edgar Harrell, experienced a special moment at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
Harrell, a WWII veteran, is the last living survivor of the USS Indianapolis, which sank in 1945.
He was given a special welcome by staff and volunteers when visiting the museum for the first time Thursday.
They held up signs and applauded as he walked inside. He greeted each one with a handshake and a "thank you."
