After begging for some rain across the NewsChannel 5 viewing area the last several days have left most of us asking for Mother Nature to turn off the faucet. Unfortunately, the unsettled pattern is hanging around and most areas will average 2-4 inches of rain over the course of 6-7 days. That should prevent any major flooding problems, but some locations could see localize flooding where they get several waves of rain in a day, heavy downpours or over 4 inches of rain during the week.
As you head back to work Tuesday after the long holiday weekend don't forget your umbrella!
