MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — West Wilson Middle and Stoner Creek Elementary will be closed for the rest of the year after a deadly tornado hit Wilson County.
Wilson County Schools said both schools were damaged beyond repair. Over the course of the next week, schools will announce what the plans are to relocate students.
The EF-3 tornado tore through the county Tuesday morning, killing three and injuring others.
Officials say 84-year-old James Eaton and 81-year-old Donna Eaton died in their home on Catalpa Drive. The third person killed was identified as 38-year-old Brandy Barker of Lebanon at a CEVA warehouse on Athletes Way North while working security.
