An Emmy nominated reporter Kelsey joined NewsChannel 5 in January 2019 as a multimedia journalist.
Before moving to Nashville, Kelsey worked from KFOR-TV (NBC) in Oklahoma City, there she reported on a little bit of everything from wildfires to high speed chases.
A proud Illinoisan, Kelsey graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Public Affairs Reporting (PAR) at the University of Illinois Springfield. UIS is where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.
Kelsey started her reporting career at WCIA-TV (CBS) in Champaign Illinois working primarily in the Capitol Bureau as a political reporter.
When she’s not working Kelsey enjoys volunteering and being a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
