Araceli Crescencio is delighted to be reporting in the city she calls home.

Born to immigrant parents from Guerrero, Mexico, Araceli grew up understanding the impact of local news and the importance of informing her community in the language most comfortable to them.

Before returning home Araceli spent two years at WLNS in Lansing, MI, where she worked as a bilingual multi-media journalist and producer. Araceli is fluent in Spanish, and in Lansing became an AP award-winning journalist after spearheading a Spanish-language newscast covering the pandemic.

Araceli nurtured her love for journalism at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She graduated with honors and received her degree in Broadcast Journalism and Economics.

Araceli is excited to be back in her favorite city and overjoyed to share your stories. She is committed to covering impactful stories in an accurate and timely manner.

In her free time, Araceli enjoys traveling, eating al pastor tacos, and cheering on her favorite soccer teams.
