Nikki Hauser is an Emmy award-winning journalist with six years of experience reporting, interviewing, and telling people-first stories. She reports for the 10 p.m. show and anchors the weekend newscasts.

In Nashville, she has covered major national stories, including a deadly plant explosion, the 2024 disappearance of Riley Strain, and the return of executions in Tennessee, where she served as a media witness.

Beyond breaking news, she is especially passionate about health reporting, highlighting medical breakthroughs and resilient patients. She has interviewed world-renowned surgeons and gained rare access to heart surgeries, blood labs, and 3D printing facilities.

Before Nashville, she reported in Charlotte, North Carolina, breaking stories such as the deadly SouthPark fire and the disappearance of Madalina Cojocari. She also focused on highlighting the deaf and hard-of-hearing and Hispanic communities. Nikki began her reporting career in Greenville, North Carolina.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, government and Spanish from Georgetown University.
